Chopsticks, en Français

I find it utterly charming that the word for "chopsticks" in French is "baguettes."

Baguette doesn't mean 'bread,' after all, it means 'wand.' Since the bread is long and slender, like a wand, it was nicknamed baguette, and the name stuck.

I love that chopsticks are also wands.
