Road Trip
I've been away on a road trip. Not for leisure (there is no such thing in the last two months of a show!) but for work (of course).
Monday morning, a Town car came and picked up a co-worker and me and drove us one hundred and fifty miles. Let me tell you, sitting in the backseat of a car trying to get work done is not fun and infinitely nauseating. I get carsick if I'm not driving, and I was definitely pretty pukey by the time we got to the hotel.
Work commenced and I didn't get back to my room until 11:00, exhausted and cranky and cold. Then a morning meeting the next day, a couple speedy meetings, inhaled lunch, and then into another car for the trek back to L.A.
Three hundred miles in a car is totally fine if I'm driving and if I don't have to work immediately before and after the trip. But in two days, having gone three hundred miles, I have never been so grateful for my four-mile commute to work.
I'm still detoxing from the trip, didn't leave work last night until 9:00, and am trying to catch up on sleep. None of it is easy and it's just making me woozy. So the next few posts will probably be heavily laden with photos to make up for my lack of brainpower.
What a way to spend December, working like a loon!
