Gummy = Delicious
I'm eating one right now. Right now! As I type, I am eating the "cola" half of a Haribo Happy-Cola Gummi Candy. That's right, it's a cheerful Cola bottle that is Gummi. Not gummy, because that would be mundane.
I love that on the packaging, it says "Kids and Grown-Ups Love It So." It's like the created the graphics in 1939 and never updated. Cute, kind of quaint, and definitely fobby (fresh-off-the-boat) without any conspicuous Engrish.
A close-up of one of these delights:
Yes, it's 10:30 in the morning, and I've eaten five of these. In my defense, I am also drinking soy milk. Not soymilk, which is the sweetened American stuff that tastes like a milkshake. Soy milk, actually made from soybeans, actually tasting like soybeans. With Cola-flavored gummis, it's the breakfast of champions.
While I only have Happy-Colas with me at work, my first love made by Haribo is this:
Gold-Bears.
They ruined me for American gummy bears after I had them, because they are so much better! Not as mushy and quick to dissolve, they had a distinct texture that I love.
And look how cute they are!
My favorites are the white ones, but there are usually about two in a bag, which sucks. I think they're pineapple flavored, maybe.
Anyways, thought I would write this up as I was enjoying my delectable Happy-Colas.
Happy Friday!
