Arthur Gerdes Park, Norwalk

No, not Norwalk, Connecticut- Norwalk, California! Arthur Gerdes Park is a local park in my parents' neighborhood, and it's lovely, despite the alleged shooting that allegedly took place there a couple weeks ago. Allegedly. Ahem.

Anyway, I've been walking around the neighborhood lately to get exercise and to see the sights (being a nosy neighbor!) and I frequently walk through this park. I took photos the other day because it had just finished raining and it smelled like freshly mown grass. It was lovely, something that the photos don't really convey.

Hello Again!

So ... I've been rather absent from this blog lately. Oops!

This is not because I've been sent to the hospital again or have relapsed! This is simply because I'm back in LA, I'm not working, and I'm really leading a very boring life at the moment. Hee.

Here are some random moments from my life in the past few weeks:

It's a boat! This was at San Pedro, where my family went to eat crabs (yuck!) and shrimp (yum!) and then have ice cream or coffee (coffee for me).

Shrimp. Shrriiiiiiiimmmmmpppp!! So good. My cholesterol was so high this day, but it was totally worth it.

Little seagulls (actually, pretty dang huge seagulls!) on the roof of some teeny building. I love birds when they're all perched together like this. And when they're all far, far away from me.

Thanksgiving dinner! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I did! I made a pecan pie, two pumpkin pies, 33 oatmeal cookies, a green bean casserole, and a lower back ache. For some reason, when the family cooks, I always get dessert! Even though my sister's really the one with the sweet tooth and the love of baking. Bizarre.

The turkey was delicious ... As were the ribs, made for the boys, since they don't appreciate the bird. (Isn't that weird? Why do they love chicken but hate turkey??)

So ... That's it! I'm going to try to blog more, but only if I have things to blog about!
