I Miss...

I miss really simple, very easy food. I'm definitely going to wean myself off the cleanse with pineapple juice and yogurt (plain, non-fat Greek yogurt, Fage being my favorite), but am looking forward to the breakfast my mother makes me on Sunday mornings, including coffee and pan-fried potatoes with eggs:

So ridiculously quick but so good, at the same time. I think it might actually be faster than putting together the lemonade for the master cleanse, which involves a juicer, a cup with a spout, and two measuring spoons.

I also miss my go-to snack, cheese and nuts. I love cheese. I might have mentioned this before, about a hundred times, but I really do love cheese.

This was the most recent cheese I had, a couple weeks ago- a sharp and beautifully crumbly aged Irish cheddar, which I bought an indecent amount of. I like cheese simply with nuts, no crackers or anything. I think they were macadamia nuts, sunflower seeds, almonds, a couple Brazil nuts, a couple cashews, and peanuts:

Ramblings about food are a side effect of doing the cleanse, I think. I hope. Otherwise, it just means that I've gone stark raving mad. Mad as a Hatter, perhaps (groan).
